A New Scientist article comments on the most recent transmission from the voyager 1 spacescraft, suggesting that 2002 data received could mean that the spacecraft is reaching or has left the solar system – the region of space where theory predicts a boundary called, the termination shock.

A Nature article has a series of further references, whilst the Voyager homepage at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has a history of the spacescraft’s discoveries, recent data and the 2003 webcast.
