I came cross this National Geographic website, for the National Geographic channel – The Mummy bundles of Muruchuco.
It is an excellent interactive documentary with video, narration and brilliant imagery. The website was created by NeonSky who also created the 2002 Webby Award winning website, Becoming Human

It’s aim is to develop and test new protocols, applications, etc for the future internet.
WordNet is an online lexical reference system & database for the english language, inspired by current psycholinguistic theories of human lexical memory.
English words such as nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are organized into synonym sets, each representing one underlying lexical concept.
It is definetly worthwhile checking this out, particularly when relating it to the Tim Berners-Lee Semantic Web idea
The Plumb Design Visual Thesaurus is a language interface. The website is both an artistic exploration and a tool to explore, study, to analyse the structure of language.
It displays the interrelationships between words and meanings as spatial maps, and translates language into a visible architecture.
